Palliative care can be challenging to discuss, but we are always available. We understand how distressing it can be to deal with end-of-life care for yourself or a loved one, and our carers are trained to provide specialist, compassionate care at this time.

Many people would like to remain in their own homes for as long as possible or until the end of their lives, making it possible to spend better quality time with friends and family in comfort and familiar surroundings.

What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care, or end-of-life care, is specialised care for people with severe or terminal illnesses. It focuses on relieving the stress, symptoms, and pain associated with the disease.

Essentially, it’s about making someone comfortable at the end of their life.

While this type of care is often associated with hospice, palliative care at home is becoming increasingly popular. It allows people to remain in the comfort of their homes where they feel secure and safe improving their quality of life.

The one problem we had was addressed quickly and effectively, and with that one exception, the carers Featherbed provided were superb - very caring and helpful, totally honest and understanding. Splitting them up after 60yrs of happy marriage would have been unthinkable.  Despite initial reservations my parents quickly accepted live in care and much enjoyed having company in the house. Much credit is due to the carers who were all lovely and very caring . I have no hesitation in recommending Featherbed
