Live-in Care Cost

Cost is one of the most significant factors when choosing ongoing Care. The cost of featherbed live-in Care compares very favourably with the cost of residential Care, which allows people to remain at home for as long as possible.

For couples wishing to remain at home together, live-in Care will cost considerably less than two residential Care home fees.

Home care costs compared to residential care

Choosing to have care at home is often about more than financial considerations; the value of having one-to-one, personal care offers a much more compassionate and independent experience. However, finances are always a factor when deciding on the best approach to care.

As individual care costs depend on your specific needs, it isn’t easy to compare costs exactly, but Featherbed Homecare is proud to offer affordable care in the home. Our live-in care services start from £902 per week, while a bed in a residential care facility generally starts at over £1,100 per week.

Full-time live-in Care from £972 per week, incl. VAT

The cost of Care depends on the level of personal Care required. We offer a full range of care services, so your precise needs and requirements always determine costs.

A breakdown of costs will be advised following a visit and assessment by one of our care managers.
Featherbed carers are registered with HMRC as self-employed and have full liability insurance. They are responsible for invoicing their clients directly, generally at the end of each week worked.

The one problem we had was addressed quickly and effectively, and with that one exception, the carers Featherbed provided were superb - very caring and helpful, totally honest and understanding. Splitting them up after 60yrs of happy marriage would have been unthinkable.  Despite initial reservations my parents quickly accepted live in care and much enjoyed having company in the house. Much credit is due to the carers who were all lovely and very caring . I have no hesitation in recommending Featherbed
