Palliative care at home for cancer

Palliative care is a complex topic, but if you’ve reached the limit of the treatment options available, being able to live at home for as long as possible is often the most comfortable and personal choice.

Our trained and experienced carers provide specialist, compassionate care at home, allowing you to remain in familiar surroundings with the reassurance of a professional carer being on hand to help you relieve the stresses and symptoms of your illness.
Some of our palliative carers have nursing backgrounds, and others offer broad experience. Still, all are committed to helping end-of-life patients be comfortable and well cared for in their homes.

They provided us with the most wonderful carer, Lucy, who stayed with Mum for long periods of time and gave amazing support to us as family. The one problem we had was addressed quickly and effectively, and with that one exception, the carers Featherbed provided were superb - very caring and helpful, totally honest and understanding. Splitting them up after 60yrs of happy marriage would have been unthinkable.  Despite initial reservations my parents quickly accepted live in care and much enjoyed having company in the house. Much credit is due to the carers who were all lovely and very caring . I have no hesitation in recommending Featherbed
